In hindsight, I expected Fengmingshan Taoist Valley Day to be the headline, and it was. What I didn't expect was how much context from the guide changed what I noticed there.
Practically speaking, communication beforehand was straightforward. On the day, the plan was explained once and then everything simply felt easy to follow. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Fengmingshan Taoist Valley Day.
I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. For 12 hours around Shanghai, the pace felt about right.
Honestly, I had a long list of things I thought I needed to see. After Shanghai, I was happier slowing down and noticing fewer things properly.
