Harbin's Ice and Snow World at night is pure magic, enormous illuminated ice castles glowing in every color. Day two at China Snow Town with the snow-piled roofs felt like a fairy tale. Dress for serious cold though, it was around minus 25. Two unforgettable winter days.
The lit ice sculptures at Harbin were even bigger than the photos suggest, you can climb and slide on them. Snow Town's cozy snow-roofed village was adorable. Our private guide kept us warm with hot drinks and good timing. Worth braving the freeze.
A bucket-list winter trip. The Harbin Ice and Snow World is spectacular after dark. China Snow Town is charming with all that thick snow on the rooftops. Just know it's brutally cold and the days are short, so the private guide's pacing really helps. Loved it.
The Russian-quarter walk in Harbin's old town was a lovely surprise alongside the headline Ice and Snow World. Snow Town the next day was straight out of a postcard. This Dec-Feb-only tour is special, the ice castles simply don't exist any other season.
