3 Day Mt. Huang Hongcun Village Tunxi Ancient Street Private Tour

Three days that turned out to be the prettiest part of our China trip. Mount Huangshan's granite peaks rising out of the sea of clouds at sunrise was jaw-dropping. Hongcun ancient village looks exactly like a Chinese ink painting reflected in its pond, and Tunxi Old Street was great for an evening stroll and local snacks. Private car made the Anhui countryside easy.

We added this onto Xi'an and it was a brilliant contrast. The cable car up Mt. Huang then walking the ridges among the famous pines was unforgettable. Hongcun's old lanes and the moon pond felt timeless. Tunxi Old Street rounded it off. Knowledgeable local guide throughout.

Lovely three-day taste of Anhui. Huangshan was the star even though clouds rolled in for part of our hike. Hongcun village is genuinely beautiful and far less crowded than the big cities. The private car saved a lot of hassle getting between the mountain and the villages.

Mt. Huang exceeded every expectation, the morning light on the peaks was sublime. Hongcun is a photographer's dream and our guide knew the best quiet corners. Tunxi Old Street at night was atmospheric. A perfect three days of scenery and culture.
