5-Day Chengdu and Chongqing Highlights Tour

Five days between Chengdu and Chongqing was perfect for our family. The kids went wild at the panda base - we got there early on the guide's advice and saw the cubs being active. Then the hotpot in Chongqing! Spicy but our guide ordered a mild side for the little ones. Brilliant family trip.

Sichuan cuisine alone was worth the trip. Mapo tofu, dan dan noodles, and a proper Chongqing hotpot crawl that our guide arranged. The contrast between laid-back Chengdu and the mountain-city skyline of Chongqing across five days was fascinating. Private car made the transfer effortless.

Pandas, food and mountains - exactly what the description promised. Five days gave us room to breathe. The Hongya Cave area in Chongqing lit up at night is stunning. Our guide adjusted the schedule when my mother got tired, which I really appreciated travelling with seniors.

Great value for a five-day private tour. The panda research base was the clear highlight for everyone. Chongqing's layered streets and the river views were a nice surprise. One long travel day between the two cities but the guide kept us entertained.

We're foodies and this trip was a Sichuan feast. The guide took us to a local place for tea-house culture in Chengdu and then a real Chongqing hotpot, not a tourist version. Pandas in the morning, peppercorn-numbing dinners at night. Five days well spent.

Travelling with two teenagers and they loved it. The pandas, the dramatic Chongqing cityscape, and the food kept everyone happy across all five days. Private tour meant no waiting on a big group. Communication before the trip was clear and the guide spoke excellent English.
