Five days self-driving across the Hulunbuir grassland in July was pure freedom - endless green to the horizon, herds of horses, and nights in a yurt under huge skies. The border-river drive and the Mongolian feasts were unforgettable. Our private guide led the route so we never worried about navigation.

Hulunbuir in summer is one of the most beautiful places I've ever driven through. Five days, our own vehicle following the guide, yurt stays and Mongolian meals every night. The border rivers and the rolling pastures full of horses were magical. A true off-the-beaten-path adventure.
Wonderful grassland self-drive starting from Hailar. The scenery is the star - vast, green, dotted with yurts and livestock. Five days felt right to really slow down. The Mongolian feasts were generous. Roads are remote so having the private guide leading the convoy gave real peace of mind.
