Looking back, there was a fair amount in 1 hour, but it never felt like a checklist. The stop at Manshan Island Taihu Lake Day had room to breathe instead of becoming another quick photo.

Travel from Shanghai to Lake Tai, then take the ferry to Manshan Island. With cars absent from the island, the visit continues on foot along lakeside paths through an old fishing-village setting, allowing the pace to stay slow and focused on the water, homes and everyday island atmosphere.
The route includes the island lighthouse and time at a riverside book café before the return ferry. Hotel pickup, private transport on the mainland, an English-speaking guide and lunch are included in the published tour setup. Ferry schedules and lake weather determine the final order and amount of time available at each island stop.

The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. With 1 hour to work with, the balance felt sensible.
