Use the pre-booked admission for Ruyi Peak on the selected date and make the round trip by cable car. After ticket validation, ride above the karst landscape to the upper scenic area, then explore the marked paths and viewpoints at your own pace before returning on the cable car.
This is a ticket-led experience rather than a fully guided sightseeing tour, so allow extra time for entry checks, queues and weather-related operating changes. The published package includes Ruyi Peak admission and the round-trip cable car. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included only when the transfer option is selected; otherwise, travelers make their own way to the attraction.

Practically speaking, communication beforehand was straightforward. On the day, the plan was explained once and then everything simply felt easy to follow. The time around the Yangshuo countryside was not the part I would cut.

I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. My only advice is not to shorten the time at the Yangshuo countryside.

Honestly, this wasn't a “see everything” tour, and that was a strength. The time around Guilin felt specific to Guilin, not interchangeable with another city.

In short, I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. For 2 hours around Guilin, the pace felt about right.
