Honestly, I chose this route for West Lake, but it didn't feel built around a single attraction. Hangzhou and Fuzhou gave the day a different rhythm.
The meeting instructions were clear and we knew what came next without being herded around. In Hangzhou and Fuzhou, that saved a surprising amount of energy.
A practical note: one stop was more crowded than the others. The quieter time around West Lake balanced it out.
In hindsight, we booked because arranging Hangzhou and Fuzhou ourselves looked fiddly. We came away remembering the conversations as much as the places.
