For us, there are plenty of polished photos online; the useful surprise was having time at Qufu and Mount Tai Two-City Day from Tai'an without being moved along every five minutes.
Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. I would keep the Qufu outline as it was.
The pace suited us, but this is not a lazy half day. Leave some space before whatever you plan next. The time around Qufu and Mount Tai Two-City Day from Tai'an was not the part I would cut.
Honestly, this felt like travelling with someone who knew the area, not following a person holding a flag. That difference showed most at Qufu.
