Über diese Tour
Escape into the green countryside of Conghua on this gentle private day trip from Guangzhou, perfect for travellers who want fresh air and beautiful scenery without any strenuous walking. Your English-speaking guide collects you from your Guangzhou hotel and accompanies you in a private, air-conditioned car for a smooth, comfortable journey north.
Your first stop is the tranquil village of Xiaoshan, affectionately nicknamed Guangzhou's 'little Lugu Lake'. On a clear day the calm reservoir mirrors the sky so perfectly that water and heaven seem to merge into a single shade of blue. A flat, easy boardwalk traces the water's edge, ideal for a slow, scenic stroll with plenty of photo opportunities. Your guide will share the stories and local life of this peaceful spot.
After a relaxed countryside lunch at a local farmhouse, you continue to the lush Qianlonggou scenic area. A short shuttle ride carries you into the heart of a cool bamboo forest, where a well-paved walking path leads gently into the gorge. At its end, the impressive Qianlong Waterfall, often called one of the widest in Asia, tumbles down before you, filling the air with a refreshing mist that feels like a natural spa for body and mind.
The whole day is designed around comfort and ease, with gentle paths, shaded greenery and time to simply enjoy the surroundings. Because the tour is private, you decide the pace and the photo stops. In the late afternoon your private car returns you directly to your Guangzhou hotel, refreshed after a day in authentic rural Guangdong.
