Ab Huangshan: Halbtägige Privattour zum antiken Dorf Xidi (UNESCO)

My camera roll says Huangshan was the big moment. My actual favourite was Hongcun; it felt less obvious and more personal.

What helped was simple: there was no theatrical “VIP” treatment, just useful organisation and a guide who noticed when we needed a pause. That suited us. I would still leave extra time for Xidi.

Looking back, I would check the weather and dress in layers. We moved between the vehicle, open spaces and indoor sites often enough to notice the difference. The time around Hongcun was not the part I would cut.

Looking back, this wasn't a “see everything” tour, and that was a strength. The time around Huangshan felt specific to Huangshan, not interchangeable with another city.

In short, worth doing for Hongcun; worth remembering for the small stops in between.
