Sobre este tour
Beat the summer heat on this easygoing private day trip from Nanjing into the bamboo-clad mountains of Anji, in northern Zhejiang, near the southern slopes of Mount Tianmu. After a relaxed pickup from your Nanjing hotel, your private car and English-speaking guide drive you to a little-known scenic gorge known locally as a 'cool-weather' escape, where temperatures feel a refreshing 5-6C lower than in the city.
This is a gentle nature walk rather than a hike. You follow a shaded path through dense bamboo and pine, and over the course of the day a string of more than a dozen waterfalls reveals itself, large and small, spilling down sheer cliffs into clear green pools like a necklace of pearls. Mist drifts through the peaks, the water runs cold and clear, and there is no rush at all, just time to take photos, listen to the falling water, and enjoy the fresh forest air.
A relaxed lunch is included in a breezy, open spot among the trees. Your guide explains the local landscape, the bamboo culture of Anji (one of China's famous bamboo regions), and the natural water system that keeps the gorge so cool. The walking is easy and the pace is set around your comfort, with regular stops to rest and admire the scenery.
By late afternoon you return to your private vehicle for the comfortable ride back to Nanjing. Perfect for couples, families and travellers who want authentic Chinese countryside, cool mountain water and a calm, private day in nature without any demanding terrain.

Booking the China tour was smooth and the driver was punctual and friendly. Highly recommend.
One of the best days of our trip. China is a must, and the private format is so much better.
