Shanghai : excursion privée d'une journée dans la vallée immortelle de Fengmingshan
Travel from Shanghai toward Shangyu and enter the landscape known locally as Fengmingshan's Immortal Valley. Follow bamboo-lined paths into a Taoist gorge, where the route is built around a waterfall beneath an overhanging rock and old vines that have grown through the valley for generations.
This is a gentle countryside walking day rather than a technical hike, with time for the gorge, vegetation and water scenery. Hotel pickup, private transport, an English-speaking guide and lunch are included in the published tour setup. Rain can change both waterfall volume and trail conditions, so the guide may shorten or reorder the outdoor sections for safety.

My camera roll says Fengmingshan Immortal Valley Day was the big moment. My actual favourite was Shanghai; it felt less obvious and more personal.
What helped was simple: our guide read the pace well. We got the background when it helped, then space to explore instead of a running lecture. I would still leave extra time for Fengmingshan Immortal Valley Day.
Looking back, I carried more than I needed. Water, a light layer and a small power bank would have covered the whole day. With 1 hour to work with, the balance felt sensible.
Looking back, I had a long list of things I thought I needed to see. After Shanghai, I was happier slowing down and noticing fewer things properly. The time around Fengmingshan Immortal Valley Day was not the part I would cut.
In short, worth doing for Fengmingshan Immortal Valley Day; worth remembering for the small stops in between.
