My camera roll says Yuyao Fairytale Village Day was the big moment. My actual favourite was Shanghai; it felt less obvious and more personal.
What helped was simple: there was no theatrical “VIP” treatment, just useful organisation and a guide who noticed when we needed a pause. That suited us. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
Looking back, I carried more than I needed. Water, a light layer and a small power bank would have covered the whole day. For 1 hour around Shanghai, the pace felt about right.
Looking back, I had a long list of things I thought I needed to see. After Shanghai, I was happier slowing down and noticing fewer things properly. I would still leave extra time for Yuyao Fairytale Village Day.
In short, a full 1 hour, in the good sense. Wear comfortable shoes and leave the evening loose.
