My camera roll says Morning Tai Chi Class in a Central Park with English Guide was the big moment. My actual favourite was Tianjin; it felt less obvious and more personal.
What helped was simple: our questions wandered well beyond the standard facts, and the guide stayed with them. That made the time at Tianjin much more interesting. For 1 hour and 30 minutes around Tianjin, the pace felt about right.
Looking back, I carried more than I needed. Water, a light layer and a small power bank would have covered the whole day. I would rather keep the pause at Morning Tai Chi Class in a Central Park with English Guide than add another stop.
Looking back, I would book this again for the pacing, not because every stop was spectacular. The ordinary transitions made Tianjin feel like a place rather than a set of postcards. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
