A small thing I appreciated: the guide let the Bund speak for itself sometimes. Not every quiet moment needed another speech.
The unglamorous part: the private format mattered most between the main stops. No waiting for a coach to refill and no counting thirty people before moving on. I would keep the Shanghai outline as it was.
One thing I learned: lunch landed later than I expected, so a small snack was useful. I was happier not cutting the time at the Bund.
I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different the river cruise and the Bund had felt.
Honestly, I would change my shoes, not the itinerary. The time around the Bund was not the part I would cut.
