For us, there are plenty of polished photos online; the useful surprise was having time at the Temple of Heaven without being moved along every five minutes.
Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. The time around the Temple of Heaven was not the part I would cut.
The pace suited us, but this is not a lazy half day. Leave some space before whatever you plan next. I would keep the Beijing outline as it was.
