Spend a full day in Chengde exploring the Mountain Resort's palace and lake districts, then continue to one of the Outer Temples operating on the day. This route links Qing imperial retreat culture with the region's varied architectural traditions.

08:30–09:00 — Meet in central Chengde and review the relationship between the Mountain Resort and the surrounding temples.

09:00–12:00 — Explore the palace precinct, lakes and principal garden landscapes of the Mountain Resort.

12:00–13:00 — Lunch break near the resort; meal arrangements remain to be confirmed.

13:15–16:15 — Visit one confirmed-open Outer Temple, selected for the day's operating conditions.

16:15–17:30 — Return to the hotel or railway station in Chengde.
