A private, camel-supported desert crossing from the Darya-Boyi area toward Mazartag, planned around a demanding 150–200 km trek and ending with return to Hotan. The final modern route, dates, camps and extraction points are confirmed only after local operator reconnaissance and approval.
INDICATIVE PRICE
From US$9,800 per adult, based on 4 full-paying adults. Requests for 2–3 travellers require a separate private quotation. Recommended maximum: 8 guests. The displayed price is an estimate, not a final supplier quote; it must be reconfirmed after permits, transport, camel support, rescue cover and group size are verified.

PERMIT AND BOOKING CONDITIONS
Passport copies and required personal information must be submitted at least 60 days before departure for special desert-trek permit processing. A booking request does not guarantee permit approval. No departure is confirmed until the licensed local operator provides written route and permit confirmation.
MEETING POINT
Hotan Kun'gang Airport, or a pre-agreed hotel in Hotan. The final meeting time, terminal and guide contact are issued on the confirmed voucher.
MINIMUM SUPPLY AND RESCUE GATE
The departure cannot be confirmed until the operator supplies a signed logistics sheet covering:
• two 4WD-capable support or extraction vehicles with named drivers;
• camel or pack support appropriate to the final group and route;
• expedition leader, local desert guide, handlers and camp cook;
• potable water plan of at least 8 litres per person per day plus a minimum 30% emergency reserve;
• two independent satellite communication devices, GPS tracking and twice-daily check-ins;
• wilderness first-aid capability, medical kit, heat-illness protocol and nearest-hospital evacuation route;
• weather and sandstorm thresholds, turnaround rules and emergency contacts;
• travel and emergency-evacuation insurance requirements for every guest.
INDICATIVE 12-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 — Arrive in Hotan; briefing, document check, medical questionnaire and equipment review.
Day 2 — Transfer toward Yutian (Keriya); confirm permits, weather and support readiness.
Day 3 — Approved 4WD approach along the Keriya River corridor; establish a remote support camp.
Day 4 — Darya-Boyi area acclimatisation and cultural introduction where permitted; final communications and evacuation drill.
Day 5 — Begin the desert trek and establish the first trekking camp.
Days 6–10 — Five flexible Taklamakan trekking stages, adjusted for heat, wind, sand, team condition and support access.
Day 11 — Final trekking stage toward the approved Mazartag corridor and planned extraction.
Day 12 — Return to Hotan, recovery and debrief; may be used as a weather contingency day.
The route may be shortened, rerouted, postponed or cancelled for safety or regulatory reasons. This adult-only expedition requires prior multi-day trekking experience and medical screening.
