Kunming Old Town History & Culture Walk

Starting from the main entrance of Kunming Old Street (Qianwang Street), you can see the streets and alleys which are formed during the period of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and also many historical buildings that celebrities once resided. Take photos here and feel its historical atmosphere. Turn around and go to the nearby street, local snack stalls abound, and also few residential houses back in 1910s. Amidst the aged dwellings, tasting authentic local snacks, absorb the vibrant pulse of life. Next stop is iconic wine glass building (Duiyue Lou). The landmark, photo hotspot due to the fame stems from a truly distinctive and whimsical architectural design. Take photos here and feel this unique curved architecture. Then visit Nie'er's former residence on the way. Reach Nie'er's former residence memorial hall. Visit the birthplace and growing environment of this great musician, and learn about his life and deeds. At the end point, visit the Jingxing Flower & Pet Market. Bird, Fish and Plants, which is full of fireworks. Immerse yourself in the market life of old Kunming and enjoy a variety of flowers, pets, handicrafts, etc.
