My camera roll says the giant pandas was the big moment. My actual favourite was the Leshan Giant Buddha; it felt less obvious and more personal.
What helped was simple: there was no theatrical “VIP” treatment, just useful organisation and a guide who noticed when we needed a pause. That suited us. I would still leave extra time for the Leshan Giant Buddha.
Looking back, the schedule is fairly full. I would have liked another twenty minutes at the giant pandas, but I would not drop any of the main stops.
