For us, what stayed with me wasn't the booking or the car. It was the time at Jiuxian Mountain Nature and Culture Day from Rizhao, when we could slow down and actually look around.
Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. I would keep the Xi'an outline as it was.
I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. I would rather keep the pause at Jiuxian Mountain Nature and Culture Day from Rizhao than add another stop.
Honestly, I would book this again for the pacing, not because every stop was spectacular. The ordinary transitions made Xi'an feel like a place rather than a set of postcards.
