A small thing I appreciated: the guide let Huizhou Xiantaigang Beaches speak for itself sometimes. Not every quiet moment needed another speech.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. With 11 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.
One thing I learned: the day ran a little longer once traffic was included. I was tired at the end, but not sorry we stayed for Huizhou Xiantaigang Beaches.
I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different Xi'an, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and Huizhou Xiantaigang Beaches had felt.
