Looking back, by dinner we were still comparing notes about Buddhist Caves, Jinci Temple & Ancient County. That is usually how I judge whether a tour was worth doing.
The unglamorous part: the private format mattered most between the main stops. No waiting for a coach to refill and no counting thirty people before moving on. I would keep the Taiyuan outline as it was.
One thing I learned: the day ran a little longer once traffic was included. I was tired at the end, but not sorry we stayed for Buddhist Caves, Jinci Temple & Ancient County.
Not every minute was engineered into a “moment.” There was time for coffee, questions and simply watching Taiyuan go by.
Honestly, no grand claims from me: this was organised well, felt personal and showed us Taiyuan at a sensible pace.
