The stop I expected to like least turned into the one we discussed afterward. That is the advantage of tasting with someone who can explain what is in front of you. For 5 hours around Wuhan, the pace felt about right.
What helped was simple: dietary questions in Wuhan were handled before we started, not halfway through the first tasting. That made the session much easier to enjoy.
Small tip: do not eat a large breakfast before the Wuhan tour. The portions at individual stops look modest, then suddenly you realise you have been tasting things for hours. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
Looking back, I had a long list of things I thought I needed to see. After Wuhan, I was happier slowing down and noticing fewer things properly.
A full 5 hours, in the good sense. Wear comfortable shoes and leave the evening loose.
