Looking back, there was a fair amount in 8 hours, but it never felt like a checklist. The stop at Taihu Fairy Isle & Ferry Explorer Pass had room to breathe instead of becoming another quick photo.
The unglamorous part: the practical side was solid: an easy pickup, sensible timing between stops, and no long sales detour disguised as sightseeing. For 8 hours around Suzhou and Wuxi, the pace felt about right.
One thing I learned: the day ran a little longer once traffic was included. I was tired at the end, but not sorry we stayed for Taihu Fairy Isle & Ferry Explorer Pass.
Not every minute was engineered into a “moment.” There was time for coffee, questions and simply watching Suzhou and Wuxi go by.
