In hindsight, I expected Shaolin Temple to be the headline, and it was. What I didn't expect was how much context from the guide changed what I noticed there.

Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Shaolin Temple.

I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. I would rather keep the pause at Shaolin Temple than add another stop.

Honestly, this felt like travelling with someone who knew the area, not following a person holding a flag. That difference showed most at Shaolin.

Honestly, I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. I would still leave extra time for Shaolin Temple.
