5-Day Chengdu, Leshan and Mount. Emei Tour

Five days that packed in the best of Sichuan. The Leshan Giant Buddha is staggering up close, you really sense the scale standing at its feet. The panda base in Chengdu was magical, and Mount Emei in the morning mist felt sacred. Guide handled the long climb steps brilliantly and our pace suited us with two kids.

Giant Buddha, pandas and the holy mountain in one neat five-day loop from Chengdu. Mount Emei's Golden Summit above the clouds was the spiritual high point. The monkeys on the mountain were cheeky! Excellent private guide who knew when to push and when to rest.

Took my parents on this and the nature focus was perfect for them. We saw pandas munching bamboo in Chengdu, sailed past the Leshan Buddha, and rode the cable car most of the way up Emei so the climb wasn't too much. Beautifully paced for older travellers.

Wonderful five days in Sichuan. The pandas and the Leshan Buddha were everything I hoped. Mount Emei was foggy on our day so the famous view was hidden, but the temples in the mist had their own charm. Guide was warm and flexible.

The combination of the Giant Buddha carved into the cliff, the panda reserve and sacred Emei mountain made this trip special. Five days felt right. Our guide arranged an extra hour with the pandas in the morning when they're most active, which was a lovely touch.
