A photographer's dream. The Zhangye Danxia rainbow mountains at sunset were unreal - striped ridges glowing red and gold. Then Dunhuang's Mogao Caves and the Crescent Lake among the dunes. Six days gave us time to chase the best light. Our guide knew exactly which viewpoints to hit when.
