8 Day China's Ancient and Modern Collision

Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai in eight days sounded rushed, but it flowed beautifully — standing on the Great Wall and then the Shanghai Bund in one trip was unforgettable.

We loved how customizable it was. Our guide added a hutong walk in Beijing and we still caught the high-speed train to Xi'an right on time.

The whole point is the contrast between ancient Xi'an and modern Shanghai, and this tour captured it perfectly. Private, relaxed and very well paced.

Three cities, almost zero stress. Guides and drivers were coordinated across Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. A couple of early starts, but worth it.

Eight days felt like the perfect first taste of China. The Terracotta Warriors and the Great Wall were the highlights for us.
