Honestly, I chose this route for Ancient Trail & Tomato Farm Day, but it didn't feel built around a single attraction. Shanghai gave the day a different rhythm.

Leave Shanghai by private car for the Huzhou hills, where the day begins on a centuries-old stone trail. Walk at an easy pace through bamboo and past small temple sites, with the guide setting the distance to suit the group and local trail conditions.
The second part of the day moves to a local farm for seasonal cherry-tomato picking. The contrast between the shaded historic path and a working farm makes this a countryside experience rather than a conventional city sightseeing route. Hotel pickup, private transport, an English-speaking guide and lunch are included in the published tour setup; the farm activity depends on what is ripe on the travel date.

Pickup and the trail start were timed well, so we were walking before the busiest part of the day. Water and rest stops were discussed clearly.

A practical note: this is not technical hiking, but it isn't a city stroll either. Starting early gave us a cooler, quieter stretch on the trail. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Ancient Trail & Tomato Farm Day.
