Wudianshi Quanzhou Tour 2 Day Private Car

Quanzhou is criminally under-visited and these two days with a private car fixed that for us. Kaiyuan Temple with its twin pagodas was beautiful, and the Maritime Silk Road Museum really explained why this port mattered to history. Wandering Wudianshi old district with a local guide who knew the family stories behind the buildings made it.

A thoughtful UNESCO heritage tour. Over the two days we covered Kaiyuan Temple, the Maritime Silk Road Museum and the Wudianshi historical streets without rushing. Having our own car between the sites was a big comfort in the heat. Guide was knowledgeable about Quanzhou's trading past.

Lovely two days exploring Quanzhou's old town. The Wudianshi district is photogenic and the temple was peaceful. Private driver was reliable. I'd have liked a bit more time at the Silk Road museum, but the guide happily adjusted day two when we asked.

We wanted somewhere off the usual circuit and Quanzhou delivered. Kaiyuan Temple is one of the most atmospheric we saw in China. The local guide brought the maritime history to life at the museum. Comfortable car, easy two-day pace.
