For us, this was less about eating a huge meal than paying attention to several small ones. That rhythm worked for 8 hours.
Practically speaking, the Lijiang stops were organised, but the food did not arrive like a rehearsed tasting menu. Each place kept its own character.
The useful part in Lijiang was not just trying food, but knowing what to order again later. I saved two dish names in my phone before the tour ended. I would rather keep the pause at Explore Hidden Ways of Life with a Tea Master than add another stop.
Honestly, I would book this again for the pacing, not because every stop was spectacular. The ordinary transitions made Lijiang feel like a place rather than a set of postcards.
I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Explore Hidden Ways of Life with a Tea Master.
