Resumen
A gentle, beginner-friendly private day from Shanghai into Shaoxing's tea country. Stroll a quiet 5km loop of tea terraces and bamboo, sip tea in an old mansion and unwind, with your own car.
Sobre este tour
Swap Shanghai's pace for the peaceful tea hills of Shaoxing on this wonderfully relaxed private day tour, specially suited to beginners and anyone who wants gentle strolling rather than a workout. Your English-speaking guide and private driver collect you from your hotel for an easy drive into the green folds of the Kuaiji Mountains.
The village here sits cradled on three sides by hills, wrapped in the scent of tea and curls of woodsmoke from old farmhouses. You'll set off on a short, well-made loop of around five kilometers, climbing gently through fragrant tea terraces and shady bamboo to a viewing platform where the whole sweep of tea-covered slopes opens out before you. The path follows a quiet, time-worn old trail that feels a world away from the city, and the low-effort route means you can simply enjoy the birdsong, the views and the fresh mountain air.
Back in the village there's plenty to discover at your leisure: a charming little waterfall feature, a brand-new reading house, a 1,500-year-old ginkgo tree standing guard at the village entrance, and an atmospheric Ming and Qing-era mansion now turned into a teahouse, the perfect spot to slow right down with a cup of local tea.
A relaxed lunch is included, and because the tour is private the day is entirely yours to shape, more time in the teahouse, a slower stroll, or extra photo stops are all easy before your car returns you to Shanghai.
