I went in most excited about Flexible Day with Local Lunch Option. Funny enough, Suzhou is the part I kept talking about afterward.
What helped was simple: our guide read the pace well. We got the background when it helped, then space to explore instead of a running lecture. I would keep the Suzhou outline as it was.
Looking back, I would check the weather and dress in layers. We moved between the vehicle, open spaces and indoor sites often enough to notice the difference. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
