For us, what stayed with me wasn't the booking or the car. It was the time at the Terracotta Warriors, when we could slow down and actually look around. For 8 hours around Xi'an, the pace felt about right.
Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. I would rather keep the pause at the Terracotta Warriors than add another stop.
The longer explanations were broken up well, and the Terracotta Warriors gave the children something concrete to focus on.
Honestly, this felt like travelling with someone who knew the area, not following a person holding a flag. That difference showed most at Xi'an's city wall.
Honestly, I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
