Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Shanghai, transfer to the hotel, enjoy a welcome dinner and see the Bund and Lujiazui at night if arrival time allows.
Day 2
Visit Yu Garden, the Old City, a museum or planning exhibition, People's Square, Nanjing Road and take a river cruise or skyline visit.
Day 3
Take a day trip to Zhujiajiao, then explore Wukang Road and either Xintiandi or Tianzifang.
Day 4
Fly from Shanghai to Guilin; visit Elephant Trunk Hill, East-West Alley and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes night scenery.
Day 5
Cruise the Li River to Yangshuo, then visit the Yulong River or Ten-mile Gallery and West Street.
Day 6
Transfer to Guilin Airport and fly to Chengdu; take a relaxed visit to People's Park or Kuanzhai Alley.
Day 7
Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Street and a teahouse or Kuanzhai Alley.
Day 8
Take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Xi'an; visit the City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower area, Muslim Quarter and Grand Tang Mall.
Day 9
Visit the Terracotta Warriors, then either Huaqing Palace or the Big Wild Goose Pagoda area.
Day 10
Take the high-speed train to Beijing; visit the Temple of Heaven and Qianmen.
Day 11
Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and Summer Palace.
Day 12
Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, then transfer to the airport for an evening departure.
