Explore Beijing and Shanghai on a four-day, three-night private journey combining imperial history with modern cityscapes. Spend two days in Beijing visiting the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and the Mutianyu Great Wall, then travel by high-speed train to Shanghai. Itinerary
Day 1: Beijing | Forbidden City, Jingshan Park and Shichahai
Visit the Forbidden City along its central imperial axis, including the principal halls, residences and Imperial Garden. Continue to Jingshan Park for a panoramic view, then explore the Drum and Bell Tower area, Shichahai or Yandai Xiejie as time permits.
Day 2: Beijing | Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Excursion
Travel from Beijing to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Enter the scenic area by the confirmed shuttle and cable-car or ropeway arrangement, walk along the wall and return to Beijing in the late afternoon.
Day 3: Beijing to Shanghai | High-Speed Train and the Bund
Transfer to the railway station and take the high-speed train from Beijing to Shanghai. After arrival and hotel transfer, visit the Bund and view the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline in the evening.
Day 4: Shanghai | Yu Garden, Old City and Former French Concession
Visit Yu Garden and Shanghai’s Old City, then continue through the Former French Concession. Finish with selected modern Shanghai landmarks according to the confirmed schedule.
