08:00–09:30 — Travel from central Beijing to Fangshan with an introduction to the early excavations. 09:30–11:30 — Study fossils, stone tools and evidence for fire use in the Zhoukoudian Site Museum. 11:30–12:30 — Lunch break in Zhoukoudian; meal arrangements remain to be confirmed. 12:45–15:15 — Walk through the site park and main fossil localities, distinguishing original contexts from reconstructions. 15:15–17:00 — Return to central Beijing.
