One detail from the day: the title makes this sound like a lot of ground to cover. In practice, the Zhangjiajie peaks and Zhangjiajie felt like two distinct parts of the trip, not the same day repeated. My only advice is not to shorten the time at the Zhangjiajie peaks.

This worked for us because we didn't have to solve transport between Zhangjiajie and the Zhangjiajie peaks. We could pay attention to the places, not the logistics. For 8 hours around Zhangjiajie, the pace felt about right.
