One detail from the day: the stop I expected to like least turned into the one we discussed afterward. That is the advantage of tasting with someone who can explain what is in front of you. I would keep the this part of China outline as it was.
The this part of China stops were organised, but the food did not arrive like a rehearsed tasting menu. Each place kept its own character.
A practical note: this is not technical hiking, but it isn't a city stroll either. Starting early gave us a cooler, quieter stretch on the trail. My only advice is not to shorten the time at the trail.
In hindsight, the best compliment I can give is that I never checked how many stops were left. The trail arrived at just the right point in the route.
