大同的旧城墙在夜间会被完全照亮，重建的6.5公里环路是中国最上镜的重建城墙之一。这个为时3小时的晚间徒步之旅从日落时分的鼓楼开始，沿着东部的城墙步行到孔子庙的拐角处，下降到古老的庭院小巷里品尝街头小吃（大同刀削面、炸燕麦饼、羊肉串、红糖麦饼），最后在东门喷泉表演（夏季晚上8点）结束。平坦步行约 3 公里。最适合在前往云冈/平遥之前在大同住一晚的旅客。白天游览的廉价附加组件。
