Looking back, a small thing I appreciated: the guide let Immersive Ming Dynasty Palace Banquet speak for itself sometimes. Not every quiet moment needed another speech.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. For 8 hours around Nanjing, the pace felt about right.
One thing I learned: lunch landed later than I expected, so a small snack was useful. I was happier not cutting the time at Immersive Ming Dynasty Palace Banquet.
I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different Nanjing and Immersive Ming Dynasty Palace Banquet had felt.
