Looking back, by dinner we were still comparing notes about Qingdao West Coast Art, Culture & Coastal Day. That is usually how I judge whether a tour was worth doing.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. I would keep the Qingdao outline as it was.
One thing I learned: traffic added time to the day, so comfortable shoes and a little patience helped. The visit itself did not feel shortened. For 9 hours around Qingdao, the pace felt about right.
Not every minute was engineered into a “moment.” There was time for coffee, questions and simply watching Qingdao go by. I would rather keep the pause at Qingdao West Coast Art, Culture & Coastal Day than add another stop.
