2-Day Essence of Chongqing Tour

Two days was the perfect dose of Chongqing. Ciqikou old town was full of character and street snacks, and Hongya Cave lit up at night looking like Spirited Away was genuinely jaw-dropping. The real reason to come, though, is the hotpot, and our guide took us to a proper local spot that nearly burned my face off in the best way. Great Yangtze views too.

Chongqing surprised me. In two days we wandered Ciqikou's ancient lanes, saw the spectacular Hongya Cave glowing over the river at night, and had the most incredible spicy hotpot dinner. The city's layers of roads and the Yangtze views are unique. Foodie heaven with a great guide.

Fun two-day taste of Chongqing. Hongya Cave at night is a must-see and Ciqikou is great for browsing and eating. The hotpot was eye-wateringly spicy but delicious, our guide ordered a milder broth on the side for me. Lots of stairs in this city! Enjoyed the Yangtze panoramas.

A short, punchy adventure. The hotpot culture is the heart of Chongqing and the guide explained the etiquette of dipping. Hongya Cave's stacked lights over the water were unreal, and Ciqikou by day was charming. Two days well spent with great views of the rivers.
