Two UNESCO sites near Chongqing in two days, and they're wonderfully different. Wulong Karst with those vast natural stone bridges (you'll recognize them from films) on day one, and the astonishing Dazu Rock Carvings on day two. Private car, guide and hotel made it completely seamless.
The Dazu carvings are an absolute masterpiece, centuries of Buddhist sculpture in the cliffs, and our guide explained the stories behind them. Wulong's karst bridges and gorge were jaw-dropping the day before. A perfect two-day pairing of nature and heritage from Chongqing.
Great two-day combo. Wulong Karst is dramatic with the natural bridges and the glass elevator down into the gorge. Dazu Rock Carvings are incredibly detailed. There's some walking and steps at both, but the private guide and included hotel made it easy.
Efficient and rewarding. Seeing two World Heritage sites, the geological wonder of Wulong and the artistic wonder of Dazu, in a single weekend out of Chongqing was excellent value. Our guide was knowledgeable and the private car cut out all the travel stress.
