5-Day Ancient and Scenic Guilin tour

Five days in Guilin that balanced scenery with culture. The Li River karst landscapes are every bit as dreamlike as the photos, and our river cruise toward Yangshuo was the highlight. But I also loved the ethnic minority villages and the ancient sites in Guilin city itself. A lovely mix of nature and history.

Ancient and scenic is the right description. Over five days we cruised the river through the karst peaks, visited ethnic villages, and explored old Guilin. The variety kept it fresh. Our private guide knew the quieter viewpoints away from the crowds.

Beautiful five-day Guilin tour. The karst mountains and the river cruise were the obvious stars, but the ethnic village visits added real depth. A couple of the cultural stops felt a touch staged, but the scenery more than made up for it. Friendly, flexible guide.

Loved the slower pace over five days. Floating down the river among the limestone peaks was unforgettable, and learning about the local minority cultures in their villages was a privilege. Guilin's mix of ancient and scenic really came through. Highly recommend.
