7-Day Lhasa, Nyingchi, and Bome Tour

Seven days that went beyond the usual Lhasa-only trip. The Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Lhasa were profound, but driving out to Nyingchi and Bome showed a side of Tibet I never expected, green valleys, forests and snow peaks. The guide managed our altitude acclimatisation carefully and the permits were all sorted before we arrived.

A beautiful journey from the monasteries of Lhasa to the lush landscapes of Nyingchi and Bome. The contrast was striking, spinning prayer wheels at Jokhang one day, gazing at glaciers near Bome a few days later. Our guide was deeply respectful of Tibetan culture and explained everything patiently.

Seven days exploring Tibet at a sensible pace. Two nights in Lhasa first to adjust to the altitude was wise. The drive to Nyingchi through the canyons was spectacular and Bome's scenery felt untouched. All travel permits were handled for us, which is essential in Tibet.

Memorable tour of Lhasa, Nyingchi and Bome. The monasteries are unforgettable and the landscapes east of Lhasa surprised me with how green they are. Some long drive days, but the private vehicle was comfortable. Felt well cared for given the altitude.
