One detail from the day: what I remember is the change from one stop to the next: different room, different smell, different crowd. Wuhan Local Food Walking : Hot Dry Noodles to Lotus Soup was only one part of it.
The Wuhan stops were organised, but the food did not arrive like a rehearsed tasting menu. Each place kept its own character.
A practical note: one Wuhan dish was outside my comfort zone, which was half the reason I booked. Asking how locals eat it made the stop much more interesting.
In hindsight, the best compliment I can give is that I never checked how many stops were left. Wuhan Local Food Walking : Hot Dry Noodles to Lotus Soup arrived at just the right point in the route.
