8-Day Guilin Yangshuo Guizhou and Zhaoxing Relaxation Tour

Eight days covering Guilin, Yangshuo and the Guizhou minority villages was an epic journey. The karst landscape around Yangshuo is famous for a reason, but the quiet ancient town of Zhaoxing with its Dong drum towers was the surprise highlight. Beautifully paced relaxation tour.

This route is brilliant because it pairs the postcard Guilin and Yangshuo scenery with the far less touristy Guizhou region and Zhaoxing. Our private guide handled all the long transfers and we just enjoyed the views. Eight days flew by.

A wonderfully slow trip through southern China. Cruising the Li River near Guilin, cycling in Yangshuo, then the wooden villages of Zhaoxing in Guizhou felt like three different worlds. The 'relaxation' in the name is accurate, no rushing at all.

Gorgeous and varied eight days. Guilin and Yangshuo were stunning and the Dong minority area around Zhaoxing was a real cultural eye-opener. Some of the drives into Guizhou are long, but the scenery makes up for it and the guide kept us comfortable.
